Serve the Church, the Community, and the World
A Few Starting Thoughts
The best honor is when we humbly serve others
26 It must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave; 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life—a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
The best service is when we serve with love.
13 For you were called to be free, brothers; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. Galatians 5:13
The best ministry is when we use our God-given gifts.
6 According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts:

One Body, Many Parts
1 Corinthians 12:12-27
The church is called the Body of Christ vv. 12-13
The one Body is made up of many parts vv. 14-20
All the parts are important vv. 21-26
27 Now you are the body of Christ and individual members of it.
