A Vision for Joining God in His Mission
Acts 1:8 (HCSB) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
- WE JOIN GOD IN HIS ASSIGNMENT WITH HIS POWER.
- We cannot do this in our own power.
- The Holy Spirit moves in us as we move out.
- God provides the power as we become his hands and feet.
- WE ARE HIS WITNESSES BECAUSE WE HAVE A STORY TO TELL.
- When we have a genuine relationship with God, we have a story to tell.
- No one can keep us from telling the story, but our own selves.
- We are witnesses to the reality that we have been forever changed.
- WE MOVE OUT WITH SIMULTANEOUS, NOT PROGRESSIVE ACTION
- This is an “and” strategy not “then” strategy.
- Accomplishing this mission requires our involvement and obedience.
- We don’t have to join him in his work; we get to join him!
We have been invited to join God in his mission to redeem men and women to himself. When we tell our story we unleash the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives.
