Mike describes himself as a “nerd” who “likes to drink coffee, listen to music, and read about urban planning.” This interest in cities acts as a catalyst to Mike’s twofold effort of embracing Magnolia Church’s Acts 1:8 strategy of reaching the world and supporting Magnolia’s efforts to help adults grow in their walk with Jesus. Mike has led mission trips to Mexicali, Mexico; Seattle, WA; Las Vegas, Nevada; New York City, NY; Southeast Asia; and Toronto, Canada. Mike’s goal for the people of Magnolia Church is captured by Ephesians 3:16-19 which in part states, “you, being rooted and firmly established in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love.”
