Magnolia Church is home to a group of vibrant seniors known as the Caleb Community. The spark which energizes the Caleb Community is Vi Estel. Vi lists her favorite food as, “any and everything except liver.” This openness to food and life explains how Vi leads Magnolia’s seniors to engage in Bible Study, numerous outings throughout Southern California, and mission trips. Vi’s life verses are drawn from 2 Corinthians 5:16-21, “We are ambassadors for Christ.” Vi’s vitality reminds those who meet her that, “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature” is true, and we can be “ambassadors,” no matter one’s age, for as long as the world is in need of a Christian witness.
